Rhode Island Natural Resources Conservation Service is offering Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) funding through an Air Quality-Ozone Initiative. The Environmental Protection Agency has determined that Rhode Island is an Air Quality Non-Attainment for Ozone. This initiative will provide funding for conservation practices that have an impact on reducing ozone that is created as a result of agricultural activities. The Resource Concern covered under this State Initiative is Air Quality Excessive Ozone. The following practices will be eligible under this initiative:

Pest Management (595)
Pumping Plant (533)
Waste Facility Cover (367)
Waste Storage Facility (313)
Waste Utilization (633)
Applications for this initiative will be accepted throughout FY 2012. There will be two ranking deadlines for the initiative:
